Chatsworth House
About an hour’s drive from Nottingham, in the heart of the Peak District lies Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The house and its gardens, which have remained largely unaltered for the past 200 years, attract visitors from all over the world. Here you can explore many of the elegant Guest Bedrooms and meet costumed maids, as well as dressing up as affluent characters yourselves. In over 105 acres of vibrant gardens you will find giant water features, sculptures and a huge maze, not to mention five miles of walks exploring the rare species of plants and hidden waterways. Young visitors will love the farmyard, where they can enjoy animal handling sessions, water play and the adventure playground.
