Nottingham Playhouse
Founded in 1948, the Nottingham Playhouse has been one of the country’s leading theatres ever since. The playhouse puts on a diverse range of drama, music, comedy, dance and pantomime, and many performances go on to tour nationally and internationally. The theatre is located in the heart of the city and the building itself, which has been a Grade II* listed building since 1996, is one of Nottingham’s most loved landmarks. Anish Kapoor’s Sky Mirror sculpture takes pride of place in front of the building, where there is also the award-winning CAST bar and restaurant and the open green of Wellington Circus – the perfect place to relax in the sun before the show.
