Wollaton Hall is just 15 minutes’ drive from the Best Western Westminster Hotel and provides a fantastic day out with plenty to see and do. The grand Elizabethan mansion stands high on a natural hill just three miles outside of the city centre. The hall itself is steeped in fascinating history, and is home to Nottinghamshire’s oldest pipe organ. See the original Tudor kitchens and the recreated Bird Room, complete with interactive exhibits. The 500-acre surroundings leave plenty to explore, including the Deer Park which is a favourite with families. You’ll also find Nottingham’s Natural History Museum and the Industrial Museum here, as well as special events at the Yard Gallery.
